Using the Time Log Power Grid, administrators are able to take standard hourly time entries and reallocate hours to special wage types where needed.
- To make these adjustments, click on the Resource icon in the left navigation.
- The Time menu opens. Select the Time Log Power Grid option.
- The Time Log Power Grid opens. If the Allocation column is not already displaying in the Power Grid, it can be activated by clicking on the Column icon and then selecting it from the list.
- Click on the Allocation icon for the time entry you wish to modify.
- The Allocation dialogue opens, displaying the current number of regular hours associated with this entry and other wage type options available. Enter the hours into the field for the correct wage type.
Note that there is a total of Allotted Time at the bottom of this screen showing the total number of hours--hours may be moved to other wage types, but the number of hours cannot exceed this total. Entering hours into other wage types will subtract them from the regular hours entry. Removing those hours from the other wage type will add them back to the regular hours entry. - Click Save to keep the allocation adjustment, or Cancel to discard. You will return to the Time Log Power Grid, and the entry that was edited will display as highlighted. This means that there are changes that have not yet been saved in the Power Grid. Click Save to keep these changes.
