Version 28.0 Release Notes-Workspace

Within Tasks & Project PowerGrids, an additional menu option is available for “Workspaces”.

Workspaces allows users to have packaged views with specific columns and sorting options saved.

Users will be able to create their own workspaces, and those that have the appropriate permission can publish their workspace for all users to see.

Users are able to create their own personal workspaces. This can be performed by applying the columns that are desired>then clicking Create New Workspace.

Users can determine where they would like to see the workspaces displayed. If they select a specific location, that workspace will only be available in that applicable area.

Those with the correct permissions (Workspace Publishing) will see the ability to create the workspace as published, which will then be visible for all users. If you would like for the SmartConstruction users to be able to perform this action, Workspace Publishing will need to be added to the appropriate licenses.

             

             Duplicate from Projects/Templates

An additional option will be available within the More menu of Project to allow the ability to duplicate and move FROM projects and/or templates.

This will allow users to stay within a singular project and pull in phases from outside templates/projects.

Once Duplicate from Project is selected, the standard modal will appear similar to Move a Phase/Duplicate & Move Phase.

•The “Phase to Duplicate” will provide a list of Project Phases.

•The “Target Parent Phase” will be where you want to duplicate those phases to within your current project.

•A filter will be available to also pull in standard projects, however Template Projects will be the default selected value as that is how most of our customers will utilize this functionality.

•A search function is also available, which will search on names for the top-level project names.

•Phases or projects that have subphases can be expanded/collapsed as normal.

•Phases and/or root projects can be multi-selected. •Please note- If you select a top-level project, all children will have the Select option removed as they will all be included with the parent project.

•Once Apply is selected, the names that were chosen will be displayed for Phases to Duplicate.
