- To accommodate those users who were needing a second pair of Cost Code structures for their payroll system, the Billing Code has been activated and is now visible in the detailed payroll file.
- Billing codes are only available in SC Office.
- To use the Billing Code, the user should first make sure the new permissions is added in the Security Role.
How to Create a Billing Code
- Go to the 3-dot menu on the left bar.
- Select Data “Table Maintenance”.
- Click on “Billing Code”
- Click “Create new Billing Code Group”
(User can setup multiple Billing Code Groups; however, only use 1 per project.)
How to add the Billing Code to a project
- Open the project to add the Billing Code.
- Go to “Edit Project Detail”.
- Select the “Financial Tab”
- Add the Created Billing Code
Adding a Billing Code to a Task
- Add the column “Billing Code” in the project.
- Select the Billing Code on each tasks.
- Billing Codes can also be added through Smart Task.
Billing Codes in Payroll Report
- When creating a “Payroll Report”, the report will now add the Billing Code to the CSV file.
- The user will be able to choose if there should only be the Billing Code Numbers or the Full Name.
- Older records might not show newly added Billing Codes.
- User can utilize the Resource Tab on the left side menu bar to add the Billing Codes to the past Labor Time Logs if the past data doesn’t show Billing Codes. (Check Column to add Billing Code)
