The following new features are available in this latest release of Smart Construction Office.
- Financial Dynachart: Consolidated expenses are now available for viewing in a flexible financial dashboard that delivers budget cost vs. actual detail analysis. This visualization tool can be used at the portfolio or project level, giving users a holistic view of overall project financial health and access to granular details at the project level.
- The Expense Dynachart can be found under dashboard panels, and allows users to easily build custom financial visualizations to track their most critical numbers.
- The Dashboard Panel Editor for the Dynachart gives users many options for controlling how their dashboard panel displays, including filters that limit the data displayed, default shaping templates to use as starting points, the ability to create groups and subgroups, and charting options.
- Targets associated with the budget show the delta between budget and actual numbers at the project, resource type, category or cost code level. Users can then drill into chart elements to see more detail surrounding elements that are over budget.
- Data within the Dynachart may be grouped and sub-grouped by cost code, expense category, expense date, project, resource, resource type, task, and user.
- General Expense Log:
- Tools to track expenses in Office are now available in the General Expense Log (located within the Resources Menu).
- Expenses can be entered and flagged as General, Subsidiary or CAPEX, and associated with projects or tasks to track against their budgets. These expenses will then be visible for review within the Task (if associated) or Project Actuals. They will also roll up to the Portfolio totals under each applicable category.
- Data associated with expenses can also be viewed in dashboard panels for easy expense monitoring at the project or portfolio level.
- Add expenses, expense status, project, task, attachments, total cost, cost codes, vendor, receipt date, reference number, and category.
- Tools to track expenses in Office are now available in the General Expense Log (located within the Resources Menu).
- Task Owner Selection:
- Selecting Task Owners within the Project's PowerGrid just got easier
- The Task Owner selection list is now a consolidated view that displays users only once (prior versions showed users for each associated team).
- The team selection for task owners can now be chosen under the user name.
- Selecting Task Owners within the Project's PowerGrid just got easier
- Printable GANTT Chart Improvements: GANTT chart printing (.pdf) and image saving (.jpg) has been updated so that phase headers, columns headers now display.
- Additional Updates + Optimizations:
- Users will notice a new default color palette in the application. The previous "dark mode" color palette can still be accessed via the More Options menu in the left navigation, and selection of the Interface Preferences item.
- Performance of load times has been improved for Time Log Powergrid and Timecard dashboards.
- Chat windows now resize smoothly during screen resolution changes.
- Project template copy successfully copies over task owners in large projects.
