In order to delete a project all of the tasks and phases must first be removed from the project.
PLEASE NOTE: Once a project has been deleted, the action cannot be undone. If there is a possibility that project data may need be accessed in the future, we suggest archiving the project instead of deleting.
- Open the project you wish to delete in Power Grid view. In the example below, you can see that we have multiple phases and many tasks within each phase. We will start by removing the tasks. Click on the More Options icon in the main menu.
- The More Options menu opens. Select the Batch Delete Tasks option.
- The Batch Delete Tasks dialogue opens. Click on the <></> option at the far right of the top project level.
- All of the tasks within the project will be selected. Click on the Continue button to proceed.
- A Batch Update window will open. Click the Delete Tasks button to confirm the deletion.
- A confirmation window will open. Click on the Yes button to proceed with the deletion.
- Note that all of the tasks have been deleted. Click on the More Options icon in the main menu.
- Select the Delete a Phase option from the dropdown menu.
- The phase deletion dropdown opens. Select a phase from the dropdown menu to begin. This process will be repeated until all phases are gone.
- The Delete Phase confirmation window opens. Select Yes to continue.
- Once all phases have been deleted, only the project node will remain. You may now select the project for deletion.
- The Delete Project confirmation window opens. Note that it is confirming that you wish to delete the project. Click the Yes button to finish the process of project deletion.
