- To add layouts to any dashboard--Task, Project Detail, or Project--first click the Edit icon in the upper right corner.
- The Edit Dashboard dialogue opens. Click the Add Layout icon to continue.
- The Layout Details dialogue opens.
- To create a NEW layout:
a. Enter a Name (required) for the layout, and choose its order from the dropdown menu (this determines the order in which it will be displayed with relation to other panels). Click the Apply button to create the layout.
b. The new layout will open, and it will be completely blank. Click the Add Panels button to begin adding to this dashboard layout. Learn more about adding panels in the Adding New Panels article.
- To create a layout from a template:
a. When the Add New Layout screen opens, choose the From Template option. Note that button will only appear when there are templates available. b. Choose the template you wish to use from the dropdown menu. The template's name will appear in the Name field, but this can be modified so that it displays differently. Click Apply to add the layout. c. The layout is added to the dashboard. It can either be saved as-is, or panels can be added or edited. - Once all panels have been added or edited, click the Save button to save the layout.
