Via Data Table Maintenance, Programs, Categories, Products, and Stages can be added, deleted or modified. These attributes can be assigned to projects, allowing them to be grouped/sorted/filtered by any of these descriptors or for dashboard panels to be created that focus on one or more of these attributes. Programs are at the top of the hierarchy of these descriptive tags. Categories, Products and Stages can be associated with a Program (and thus applied to every project that a Program is added to) or they can be added on a project-by-project basis.
- Click the More Options button in the left navigation.
- Choose the Data Table Maintenance option from the menu.
- Click to open the Program, Category, Product, or Stage dropdown menus. Use the edit icon to modify existing options, or follow the following instructions to add new options.
- To add a new Program, open the Program dropdown menu and select the Create New Program option.
Enter a Name (required), Code, and Description for the Program. Click Save to continue or Cancel to discard.
Note that a code displays as a prefix for the name. For example, a name of Landscaping and a code of 03 would be joined as 03 - Landscaping in Office. - To add a new Category, open the Category dropdown menu and select the Create a New Category option.
Enter a Name (required), Code, Description, and/or Program for the Category. Click Save to continue or Cancel to discard.
Please note that a code displays as a prefix for the Category. For example, a category of Landscaping and a code of 002 would be joined as 002 - Landscaping in Office. If a Program is added the Category will appear under that Program listing in the menu. It will also be applied to any project that uses the selected Program. - To add a new Product, open the Product dropdown menu and select the Create a New Product option.
Enter a Name (required), Code, Description, Program, Project Template, and Required Skills/Certifications for the Product. Click Save to continue or Cancel to discard.
Note that a code displays as a prefix for the Product. For example, a category of Grading and a code of 02 would be joined as 02 - Grading in Office. If a Program is added the Product will appear under that Program listing in the menu. It will also be applied to any project that uses the selected Program. If a Project Template is added, any time this Product is associated with a project this template (pre-configured project plan) will be applied as well. If Required Skills/Certifications are added, these will be available information for resourcing at the project level. - To add a new Stage, open the Stage dropdown menu and select the Create a New Stage option.
Enter a Name (required), Code, Description, and/or Program for the Stage. Click Save to continue or Cancel to discard.
Note that a code displays as a prefix for the Stage. For example, a category of Bid Prep and a code of 00 would be joined as 00 - Requirements Gathering in Office. If a Program is added the Stage will appear under that Program listing in the menu. It will also be applied to any project that uses the selected Program.
