What it is: A SmartTask that has been flagged by a team member as being unable to be completed without intervention--this may be due to the team member having insufficient information or materials to begin.
Why it matters: Setting a status to "blocked" is the equivalent of raising a red flag. It communicates to the team that the task at hand can not be finished without help. Until the issue that is blocking the work is resolved, work will not resume, impacting the project's completion date.
In the example below, a delay to the "Obtain Proposals" SmartTask's deadline would impact all of the downstream tasks awaiting its completion.
What's next: Contact the task owner to determine what the issue is so that it can be remediated and work can begin.
